This fashionable iPhone 5 gelaskin was originally sold internally at Aperture Laboratories. However, their employees were not paid enough to afford an iPhone and therefore had no use for the GelaSkins. None of them had even seen an iPhone, as they never left the building. They used the GelaSkins as inefficient water trays and unbecoming hats until management made them purchasable by the general public for the low price of $14.95.
